The type of symbol can be selected using the dial pad by selecting Code.

Select Code on the dial pad.

Define the Code by pressing the

key.

When hiragana syllabic letters are selected, after input you can convert to

kanji ideograms with the

keys.

Press the

key to confirm the character.
